From Chance Meeting to Purposeful Brand: The Story Behind Nawang’s Wellness Business

by | Apr 28, 2025 | Project Showcase

Story time.

When I joined the gym in December 2023, I didn’t actually start going until February 2024.
I kept finding reasons not to go, but underneath it all, I was just scared to jump into something new.

It wasn’t that I was new to working out, but I was new to this gym, and that made me uncomfortable.
I knew if I wanted to get going, I needed some external accountability. So I booked an induction (a 30-minute session where a trainer walks you through the space). No trainer selection — just whoever was on shift.

And that’s how I met Nawang Palmo.

We clicked immediately. After that first session, I signed up to be her client.

Training with Nawang was different from anything I’d experienced before.
Her approach was holistic, long-term, and rooted in how movement impacts your whole life (not just the quick results you see on social media). It wasn’t about doing more for the sake of more. It was about building a strong foundation — with a plan that actually sticks.

And honestly, that mirrors how I see branding and websites too.

Real, lasting growth doesn’t come from shortcuts. It comes from clarity, patience, and putting the right pieces in place first.

Finding Clarity: Building Her Brand from the Inside Out

Before we touched anything design-related, we started with her brand foundation.
We met up at cozy coffee shops for workshop-style sessions, diving deep into her vision, her business, and the impact she wanted to create.

One major clarity point that came up was her passion for helping women with PCOS.
It wasn’t just an idea floating around, it was something she felt called to do.
So together, we refined her offers and messaging to reflect that deeper purpose.

Nawang wasn’t just looking for a website.

She was looking for a brand that felt aligned. One that represented her philosophy and the women she wanted to serve.

Bringing the Brand to Life: Logo, Colors, and Voice

Once her brand clarity was locked in, we moved into creating her brand kit: logos, color palette, fonts, and overall vibe.

Here’s the heart of what we created together:

Design Direction:

The brand channels energy, strength, and resilience — while remaining mindful and grounded. It’s about building strength with care: powerful, but never overwhelming.

The Colors:

Bright blues and vibrant yellow-greens bring energy and playfulness, balanced with deeper teals and earthy greens for a grounded, calming effect. Soft creams and off-whites create breathing space, making the overall feel dynamic, not chaotic.

Font Pairings:

We paired Quicksand and Inter — fonts that balance approachability and clarity. Quicksand’s rounded shapes make the brand feel warm and welcoming, while Inter’s clean structure ensures easy readability and professionalism.

Logo:

Her logo weaves together the initials “N” and “P” into one continuous flow, symbolizing movement, harmony, and intentionality — exactly what Nawang brings to her clients.

Designing the Website: Simple, Clear, and User-First

When it came to the website, the goal was crystal clear:
Make it easy to navigate, welcoming to women with PCOS, and focused on supporting visitors through their wellness journey.

We prioritized:

  • A clear homepage that introduces Nawang’s philosophy and services
  • A services section that breaks down options simply — from 1:1 Personal Training to Group Yoga to Personalized Programs
  • A blog space to share ongoing tips, resources, and support for women with PCOS

Every page was designed to guide visitors with intention — not overwhelm them. Because just like with fitness and wellness, clarity and consistency make all the difference.

The Outcome: A Brand and Website That Feel Like Her

Today, Nawang has a professional online platform she’s proud to share. Her brand and website have not only increased her credibility but have given her the confidence to show up for her mission with even more heart.

Clients (and potential clients) often tell her that her brand and website feel “just like her” — authentic, empowering, and welcoming.

Having a clear brand and online home has also opened new doors for her business:

  • She’s more confidently pursuing studio spaces and collaborations
  • She’s connecting more deeply with her ideal audience
  • She’s growing a resource hub for women with PCOS, helping them manage symptoms and live vibrant lives

Some Lessons Learned Along the Way

  • Clarity is everything.
Before you jump into building a website, spend time getting crystal clear on who you are and who you serve.
  • Your brand should feel like you.
The goal isn’t to look like everyone else — it’s to create something that reflects your heart and mission.
  • A website is more than a portfolio.
It’s a tool for connection, credibility, and growth.
